What I like about these vases is that the design in some way represents life and the transitions we go through. First the vase is formed in the usual, classical way (and I might add; the female form sort of).

Then the vase is broken which makes it rough and almost shattered (very often like life itself) and finally it is mended, put together and smoothed over to function as a vase again. How lifelike is that?!

Studio Dror (Dror Benshetrit) designed these vases for Rosenthal. And did he do a marvelous job!
