Fried Egg Chair
Look closely at this, totally lovely, chair. Danish design mind you. What does it resemble (think back at the Egg Chair) – yes that’s right, it is called the Fried Egg Chair! Isn’t it just the best name?
Fried Egg Chair was designed by Hans Olsen in the 1950s. It is now produced by the company Warm Nordic.
Fried Egg Chair was nominated for the Design Award but didn’t win – however it was voted Readers Favorite 2018 [by the readers] of the Danish design magazine Bo Bedre – which, by the way, is a great design magazine
The judges nominated Fried Egg Chair with this:
“Unique asymmetric armchair, designed by Hans Olsen in the 50s. A piece of furniture with edge and personality. And humor. And rooted in Danish modernism. Because it looks like a fried egg from above. With its flat armrest it invites you to sit in every possible way. We like the beautiful 50’s colors and the use of teak. “

See the designers socks?! That’s for another post, a sock post, later.
